Coolant flush this weekend,Have a guestion.

Hey all,
Im going to do the coolant flush this weekend and was reading all the threads on this. Im thinking I want to take out the T stat and flush without it and just install a new T Stat when Im done. I got my new T stat today and noticed its all 1 piece. How do you take it out and hook the hose back up? Should I just remove the old stat and punch a hole in it and reinstall it for the flush? Then install my new stat when Im done with the flush.

Also I havent really searched on this yet but my steering fluid smells like crap. For now can I just mity vac out all the old fluid and just re-fill with new Mercon ATF?

Thanks,Shark

Like Mark said in that post push and twist out of the set but when you do it remove the t/stat and the hose together because the hose and the t/stat have a mark on it to line up so it goes back the right way when you are finished with your flush and get ready to add coolant i filled through the t/stat hole tell full then install new t/stat and hose as one then finished through the degasing tank that way no air bubbles
