Ok so I asked the question a few months ago about how my oil temp is all over the place well I got a little video I took back when the weather was about 30 deg out take a look and let me know if it is.
1.edge going bad?
2.temp sending unit going bad?
3.oil cooler going bad? ( was new back in dec 2010)

No that is not normal. Check your wiring from the sender. If it is good I would replace the sender.
