oil temp

my tsx tuner is showing me that my oil temp is 80 degrees when warm and the ECT is 180??? do i need a new oil temp senor

How does it read first thing in the morning? They should be close to the same temp.

the outside temp this morning was 57 degrees ECT 56 degrees EOT 37 degrees

Then yep, you either need a new sensor or try another temp monitor. When your truck is cold, your ECT and EOT temps should only be a degree apart.

i got a oil temp sensor in and no change it reads exactly the same i think my tuner is messed up i havent been able to to marry it to my truck and sct said its vin locked to another truck diesel power products is getting me a new one it will be here next week

yeah the monitor is up to date but the dongle is not and it's vin locked not sure why but sct is taking care of it i hope when the new one gets on the truck is solves this problem
