EOT Stock vs Tuned

I read somewhere on another diesel forum (and i wish i wrote down which one it was) that you actually, with all things remaining equal, get lower oil temps running mild tunes then you do running stock. Does that sound accurate to anyone else because it doesn't to me? You would think that with the truck pushing out more power the natural result of that would be higher temps but i'm by no stretch of the imagination an expert...
