Is the tailhousing on a 6.0 trans the same as a 7.3

I just noticed the adapter piece that is in between the transfer case and the transmission on my truck is cracked. Looks to be about 6" or so. I found a bad 7.3 trans that I can get one from but I have the 6.0. Will it work? I know they are different trannies but was hoping this part would be the same. Thanks for any info.
