First Coolant Filter Change
I installed a Diesel Site coolant filter right after my flush and ELC change over.
I just changed the first filter. I went against the directions and ran it for about 1600 miles. Please see attached pictures of what came out. As you can see, a bit in the bottom of the bucket, nothing really significant on the actual filter eliment. Truck has 48,869 miles. ELC swiched at 47,350. Colin |

Looks like mine after the switch. It cleaned the tank and all the hoses and nothing collected in the filter. ELC seam to be clear running guaranty to me.
I did 2 filter checks since and 12K and nothing in the filters. |

Honestly, that don't look like much. Almost a waste of a filter.

I agree. That still had allot of life left. Your truck is clean. Try 7,000 next time.

I agree, it was a waste. I just had no clue what was going on in there! Yea, the next one will be like 7-8k!

i dont see the point of changing it until there is no flow through it. you can see the coolant returning to the degas bottle, when you dont see any its time to change.
