Coolant flush.

Well it's time. I'm going to do a full flush. I need to get a list together.
So what do I need?
Do I go gold or elc (I'm going to run a filter)
How many gal of distilled water?
How many gal of coolant?

It's going to get a oil cooler.egr delete, and studs at the dealer. So I'm going to have to give them elc if I go that route. Warranty will only pay for gold.

Then why not go with gold coolant? If I'm going to run a filter. And no egr

Thanks guys. Tyler

Boy what a dealer this is what i would do let them do there thing then after you get it back and have some miles on it and you know it is good do a flush and install ELC coolant or if it is running do a good flush with restore and restore+ then take it in with just distilled water in it that way the system is clean and let them do there thing.

If its being done under warranty work, they won't put in non-Ford coolant. At least that is what I was told when mine was done.

The real thing here is the oil cooler will clog again with Ford Gold in there. Though it won't have an EGR Cooler to fail, if the oil cooler itself ruptures you will have a coolant/oil mixture running through your truck which will be a worse case scenario. If you have a monitor, you don't have to worry about it just be ready to rebuild the oil cooler again.

That sounds a good plan! Good deal on the dealer doing all that. Most times it seems like the dealers are not very giving with what they fix.

new plan im going to flush it tomorrow myself. warranty wont cover the flush so im doing it myself. and i really cant trust the monkeys at the stealership to do a good flush maby im paranoid

so what do i need?

one of bills videos, he doesn't use restore? and im not going with gold coolant.
so where can i get elc?

his flush method seems easy. anyone say different?
one more thing. dont the y have some kind of coolant flush stuff at the parts store? is there any reason to buy ford flush?
