what is the MCP hose on the truck ?

Dealer said our recently worked on 06 f350 had "carbon" in the mcp hose and intake manifold valve or something, that was the reason suddenly the truck would make zero boost and threw a code...

Truck just had $8k in work done to it, egr cooler leaked, blew head gaskets :/

Got arp studs put on, garrett powermax turbo charger unit, 21mm ford head gaskets, new oil cooler system, Bulletproof diesel stainless lifetime egr cooler added.

Truck ran "ok" from dealer, my buddy "tuned" it? but not like an sct or added anything, im not sure what they did, but it added fuel b/c truck finally felt faster after ford fixed the truck with all those parts.... then after this $260 in work with a mcp hose clogged with carbon...it runs ok, has boost but slow as a mofo again.. My wife drove this truck bone stock and after the turbo/studs, egr change it had no pickup.. after my buddy fixed the pcm,, was good again... now its not throwing a code and has boost but slow as a mofo again? whats going on?

A few years ago my 6.0 acted like a dog....stomp on the pedal and it would just hesitate terribly. Brought it to Ford (under warranty) and they wound up replacing the turbo.

Just a thought....maybe your turbo vanes are sticking?

yeah probably not, b/c its got 400 miles on the new Garrett Powermax turbo charger! but yeah it could be a vgt issue or something weird where it doesnt divert the flow correctly from a stop? But working or not, you'd see SOME boost.. it just seems to bleed off ANY boost when it has this issue.. its fixed now, but how suddenly after the work "carbon" build up in this mcp tube is the problem?

our other 6.0 2006 is definitly getting a egr delete.. i cant keep fixing all this crap and having trucks down so often blowing white smoke, and map sensor problems and stuff thats all gummed up b/c its all sooty

You will probably need custom tunes for the new turbo

The powermax is going to have slower spool than stock without proper tuning, generic tunes won't do the trick

I'm sure they said "MAP" hose instead of MCP hose.
