Remote starter
I'm considering installing a remote starter, but have this nagging concern, a.k.a. paranoia...,
![]() about not being able to see the gauges to check for oil pressure etc...Does anyone else feel this way or do you just hit the go button and hope for the best? ![]()

I had a remote start installed over 2 years ago. I am more happy when it starts. Personally i would not worry about the oil pressure, if the injectors don't see 500 psi oil it will not start.
Most of the remote starts will turn off after 10 minutes. You can get a remote start cheap since these trucks do not use a chipped key. |

What's a good remote start (make/model) to use on a diesel that will give the appropriate key on delay before it starts the truck?

I have an Astro Start on mine which I like.
Does the locks and alarm as well. |

Just about any brand remote start will have a input for the WTS light.

The WTS wire on our vehicles are data and can not be read but the RS module. You will need to make sure that the alarm has a timed WTS feature or setup a timer module for a pre-determined amount of time.

I prefer D.E.I. (Viper, Python, Clifford), Auto Page or Audiovox Prestige. I have owned and installed TONS of then and those are the ones with the least if no problems at all that i have seen. I personally have a Viper 5901 in my vehicle and a Viper 5701 in my wifes Expedition. Love them both.
