SCT v.s Edge Evolution CTS race

I was just wondering everyones thought on the edge because I have a friend that is selling his 6.4 and is letting me use the edge for the time being, posibly to purchase. I see most people use the sct tuning and edge insight. is there a big reason why not just use the edge tuning because it monitors the same as the insight? right? I really not looking to stretch studs at the moment so im not looking to making gobs of power right now just to play around with.

it' s the trans the Edge is hard on, go with the SCT X3 save you $$$$ in the long run plus down time.

Yes have them wright the tune you want and the Edge i would get is this.
EDGE 83830 Insight CTS (Fits 1996 and Newer OBDII-Enabled Vehicles)
The pyro, that is a must
EDGE 98601 EGT Accessory for CS and CTS (non-expandable)
You could look around for better prices
I would like to get this Edge but my wife would kill me

Alright sweet ill see if i can get it this month, what do you mean you mean by writing a tune for me, and two more things can they electronically shut off the egr and does it smoke with the hot tune on thanks

You tell Eric what mods are done to your truck (studs, non-studs, larger injectors, bigger turbo, ect), and he writes a tune to support them mods/stock.

He can shut off the EGR, but there is a chance of the EGR cooler failing and having coolant enter the cylinders, causing HG issues. Read this link to get an idea of what is needed before you start adding power.
