Homemade coolant filter?
I did a search a couple of times and nothing came up.
I have a remote oil filter mount already. Like this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Trans...item4cf6fd476e It seems like all it is is two lines coming off just like the remote filter can accept. Anybody running one, where do the lines go to? I wouldnt mind to save a couple of bucks doing this....and if it all works out Ill post up some pictures of my setup also. |

One connection is made at the heater core hose that runs on the passenger side of the truck (this is the coolant feed to the filtration system).
The other is the line that comes off the top of the radiator and goes to the degas bottle. You might want to make sure that a coolant filter (without any additives) will screw onto that filter head. |
