What tunes/tuners do you all recommend?

the obvious sct with

Tunes from TSD, Quick Tricks, IDP, KEM, Gearhead etc etc

all personal preference

least smokey tunes are TSD, gearhead and KEM


all equally as fast with stock trucks

There are a number of great threads on this forum over tunes/tuners for the 6.0L.

The greater percentage will tell you to go with the SCT flash tuner hands down, and I'm one of them.

As for tunes, there are a number of great tuners out there, the big three are Eric (Innovative Diesel), Matt (Gearhead), and Vivian (Quick Tricks). All three will put out around the same power in thier street files (about 400HP to the wheels). It depends on what you're looking for in your tune. I'm running tunes from Innovative Diesel, and I couldn't be happier. My street file has plenty of power, and inproved mileage about 10%. My X-Race shifts firmer, alot firmer and has alot more power, and still saw an inprovement in mileage (about 15% over stock).

Each truck takes to these tunes differently to an extent. And much of this is all personnal preferance.

So if you already have the CTS just get the X3? And what 3 tunes does it include? I'm assuming Economy, Towing, and Performance?

yes if you already have the CTS you just need the X3.. yes the price includes custom tunes from innovative diesel. the standard 3 tunes are usually econo, tow and street

well you get all 3 tunes... generally speaking though most people get the best MPG out of the higher HP tunes. But only if you can keep your foot out of it...

the SCT's that i sell come with custom tunes from innovative diesel. that price includes the Econo, tow and street tunes... so you will have all of them to play around with....
