need input
Quick post on what I've been going through and what would you do in this situation.
Reputable shop that came recommended from here did the work. New heads, new HG, new oil cooler, and egr delete. Got the truck back and had trouble on way home but they fixed it in a timely matter and was a honest mistake. But I brought to their attention when I took it back that the deltas where higher than I was expecting (75 outside 10* delta while cruising at 65) they said it was normal which ok could be but that was 2 weeks ago. Now on way home today the temps went up to 25* delta 90 outside. I am not happy about this at all because I've had the truck 4 weeks and now I have oil temp troubles. I requested a coolant flush and clean with VC-9 (which I don't know if it was done but I wasn't charged for it). I'm thinking they didn't flush it and the junk that was in there has clogged the new cooler up almost immediately. I want a new cooler put in because I should not be seeing this high of delta unloaded. How would you go about this situation? Thanks for your input Temps today were ECT 195 and EOT started at 215 and was up to 225 before I got into town |

Man, how good are you under the hood? You are not under warrenty? I have found that it is hard to trust anyone. If you are good with the tools, I would dig into this yourself!

I am waitin to hear back from the shop on there thoughts and if they are gonna help me out. I feel its their fault because of not doing to flush and cleaning like I requested. I could probably do it but after paying $7200 I shouldn't have to after only 3 weeks nor do I really have the money to.

Sounds like the shop did the flush after the oil cooler was rebuilt. Leaving the shop with a 10*, the only thing I can think of is they flushed your system right through the rebuilt cooler. You'll need to get that oil cooler rebuilt again, and quick.
And if your shop won't make it right, find another one that will. If you get under that hood yourself, check things over and make sure its right. |

I'm awaiting to here from them but they are a fairly well know shop and I'm inclined to spill the beans on the shop and my experience. I'm gonna give them the chance to make it right but if not then its gonna cost them some money along with me. Cause I'm sure more than a few will see the negative post.
