I'm looking at a 2007 F350 SRW Lariat Crew Cab 2 wheel drive. It has high miles 191000 but I wanted to know what yall thought. Truck was owned by company and driven by vice pres. Truck is immaculant with the exception of inside of bed where they would load pallets in it. Clean car fax. I'm wanting a 250 or 350 to pull a fifth wheel periodically. They are asking $9950. Just need some advice this would be my first diesel.
Thanks Bamafan |

A carfax won't tell you what's really important. Get the VIN# and have a Ford dealer run a Oasis Report to check what work has been done under warranty. Either buy or get a hold of a good tool scanner that can read the EOT and ECT and DTC's in order to check the motor. Read this link to get a head start on the issues with the 6.0
WELCOME TO THE ORG. Things to consider about owning a 6.0L |

A friend of mine in Phx AZ baught an 07 with 225k. The oasis has ZERO claims on it. All the origonal owner did was always change the oil and coolant. I drove the truck, felt like it had 50k. I would buy that!

Make another thread "Oasis Please", there are members on here that have access to the Oasis reports. They usually reply or send you a private message. It may take a couple of days, they do this on there own time as a favor to the members. Don't forget to thank them.

Carfax is absolutely useless.
I have heard that an OASIS report only shows warranty work. If that's the case any issues from the last 90k miles will not be on there. If the truck was owned by a business, they should have records of all service done to it. Like Lilpooh said, get a scan tool like an Edge Insight or a Scan Gage and plug it in the OBD-II port for your test drive. Then make sure you drive it long enough to get up to full operating temperature before you start looking at readings. |

BTW, those miles wouldn't bother me at all on a good truck.
