Let me know how it works out for you if you find someone good, as I am new to the PS 6.0 family as well, with my 1st diesel truck just arriving last weekend, and live in the cities as well. I know it will eventually need work, and am not looking forward to paying 'stealer' pricing on repairs. Good luck with your search!

I just got done talking to Truck Repair & Equipment Co down in Inver grove heights. Found them by looking on the bullet proof diesel website. They are a installer for all bullet proof products.
He has done only 3 installs so far of the bullet proof oil cooler with winter package. He is getting me a quote as we speak. Anderson & Koch in north branch was also mentioned on this website This sucks! my cooler is partially plugged up and I don't want to install another OEM that will eventually plug up again. |

Diesel and Import in Blaine. They have done work for me in the past and know the 6.0 well.

If it's one that you like, and would like to keep it for a while, then it might make sense to put in the upgrades that are easily found on these sites; EGR delete with the Bullet Proof system, bypass coolant filter, ARP head studs, etc. It all comes down to if you want to go thru the work to get it to the point where it would be pretty reliable. If you do end up going the stud kit route, be sure to get your heads magnafluxed carefully, as I've heard they have had issues with some of them cracking. Best of luck, please report back on your sucess once you've gotten it fixed. It's always good to know of (hopefully postive) first hand experience with a repair shop in the local area. |
