Need some more info.

How many miles?
Are they Stock size Injectors?
Was it a stock size turbo?
Stock PCM Tune?
Any Other mods?
What year?

Black smoke is fuel that isn't fully burnt. Just shooting from the hip here I would guess bad PCM tune or plugged intake. But since lack of info could be bigger injectors and wrong PCM tune.

Yes, I have had the truck for 6 years now. Should I do a compression test to see if there is enough corvete cylinders to operate correctly? I plan on getting it calibrated- have not had it done since I have had the truck.
