powermax owners

Ok I have an 03 6.0 with 84k miles. Running the edge evilution programmer. Just got done changing my turbo out for a powermax, I have some questions, I noticed I need to be at a higher rpm for turbo to kick in than stock, is that normal? Truck runs great, but lacks that initial acceleration I had with stock turbo. Cruising speed around 15-18 hundred rpm boost is low around 4-6 psi, is that normal? It doesn't really start pushing high pressure (over 20) till I'm pushing 2500 rpm.

Thanks

the things that i have heard about the power-max is that you need better injectors or the turbo does not respond as good.

The truck runs great, of course new injectors would make it run or act better, but everywhere I have heard the powermax was fine on stick sticks. I'm not complaining about the turbo just curious if my performance is normal for stock sticks. I actually think it is running more efficiently than the stock one and thats why its acting like it is, should improve my mileage.

I can do custom tunes with the evolution, it programs everything, it isn't just a plug and go chip.

Normal readings, but you need custom tunes to be written for the larger turbo. You're gonna have a buttload of turbo laguntil you get some SCT tunes written for the PowerMax.

Bigger turbo, same injectors = more turbo lag
SCT with custom tunes to spool her up sooner = less turbo lag

makes sense. if and when i change injectors, what would be recommended?

i really dont want to have to mess with changing fuel pumps and all that to accommidate larger injectors?

are there larger injectors i can use and not have to change anything else?
