Delta Temps

Ok, this is starting to worry me. Got the Ex up to temps and then hit the hiway.. 65 mph and after about 10 minutes, my EOT was 201-203 and my ECT was 188 and on the very rare occasion was 190... That gives me a 13-15 degree delta... I guess I am looking at a cooler swap.... Mitch, give me your 2 cents... and anyone else for that matter..

Looks like an Oil Cooler clogging up to me. ECT looks normal for the 190* T-stat. When you get in there for the oil cooler, remember to replace the EGR cooler as well (unless you've deleted/upgraded the stock unit).

Don't put it off much longer, either I blew gaskets a few months back over that cooler and now I have the monitor to keep it from happening again.

Yeah Bruce, unfortunately it looks like it's time to rebuild the oil cooler. I'd delete the egr cooler or replace it with the Bulletproof cooler.

Thats just great... I was checking the rear brakes yesterday and the wife said "one more thing goes wrong with that thing, and its gone!" Dont know how I am gonna hide this repair..

I should be able to get away with a cooler from Tousley and a delete kit for just around $400 correct?

Yup. Tell the wife the truck is staying and to get over it. It really isn't so bad sleeping in the truck now that it's warming up.
