Ouch the fender removal mod. Did you blow the outer wheel?

I have seen a few SRW trucks like that with the steel shredded and beat to hell about as bad as your plastic dually fender.

I don't think I have ever seen that on a dually before other than an occasional rock hole.

Well looks to me like you threw a show there buddy. I see they are different tread patterns so I'm guessing that's what happened.

Insurance gonna cover it?

The tread separated and acted like a big whip! I wasnt pulling a load or anything she just blew. Interesting thing is just last week i was towing about 12k without a problem. Anyhow it gave me an excuse to get all new Michelin LTX MS2's Had to buy one locally to get me home but got a great deal on the other 5 from discount tire.

I called them and they consider it a collision incident and not comprehensive so i am not going to turn it in. I will just take care of it myself. Hoping to find a used fender already painted somewhere.

That is my biggest fear is blowing one of the duals and shredding the fender.

Been there, done that and got the t-shirt!

We were hauling our travel trailer and in the left lane on the highway when I looked in the driver mirror and LITERALLY saw my fender fly off and into the center median. I was soooo lucky that I was in the left lane for if I were in the far right, it would have flown off and hit a car and caused one heck of a pile up.

Needless to say, I had all 7 tires replaced partially covered by Continental and my insurance covered the truck repairs. Went the Michelin route and feel so much more confident in those over the Continental.
