Too much turbo with srt8 pipe?

ever since i str8 piped ive noticed my turbo psi go higher with extended periods than the normal range with the exhaust/cat on. For instance i was at 20 psi constant going up a mountain pass normally it wouldve shot up to 15 and then lower itself. Wouldnt driving with higher psi's for extended periods of time hurt the motor i.e. headgaskets later down the road?

20 psi isn't going to hurt anything. I don't see any mention of a tuner in your signature so I'll assume you are stock. Stock boost levels are not going to hurt your truck unless the turbo vanes stick and over boosts it. Stock tuning I don't think hits much more than 26 psi. That is not a problem.

Yep the tune is stock. I hit close to 30 heavy footin the pedal so i eased up. Just worried about the higher boost levels vs pre str8 pipe. I heard the intercooler does not like 30+psi

I am tuned running SRL++ and have no problems with the intercooler. You are fine.

I'll think i'll bring back the kitty before i go to the dealer for that "potential headache" that i have, the all so lovable bedplate seal. gonna save up dough for a possible headstud/egr/oil cooler upgrade maybe i'll do it before the years out....lets see, $3-5k parts & labor for the non warranty additions or drop in a 12v with conversion kit? Ahh decisions decisions.....

I know, and not to mention i'll never pass inspection just a lil comediac relief too relieve stress on my $41,000 well maintained truck that leaks. feelsbadman...
