new purchase questions

Well I finally pick up a 250. It's ccsb with the 6.0 and an auto. The truck came with a leer cap, remote start and sprayed in liner. My first question is about tires. The tires on the truck are 265/70/17's and I would like to upgrade to 295/70/17's. Do I need to do anything special to run these tires? My other question is about a wire on the dash. It looks like a telephone cord, and its tucked behind the dash right in the middle. What could this be used for? Thanks for the help

That wire could be anything...a cell phone antenna, some old CB wiring...post a pic so we can have a look at it and help you out more.
