bulletproofing a 6.0?
what do i need to do to completely bulletproof a 6.0 to the point where it will be trouble free. my fathers cummins and box truck, both I-6 diesels one cummins one isuzu have never gone down, other than for one day a piece. id love to have a damn near perfect 6.0. i know id have to do the EGR delete, updated oil cooler, head studs and gaskets. coolant flush, fuel filter and id probably pick up a set of aftermarket injectors and maybe an aftermarket turbo. and a tuner so i can monitor EOT and ECT. what else would i have to do to make this truck bulletproof. and is pulling the cab easier than pulling the engine? i feel like doing all this on a stand is alot easier than pulling the cab. i really want to know about this, because im eventually going to own a 6.0. an f350 or an excursion.
