bulletproofing a 6.0?

what do i need to do to completely bulletproof a 6.0 to the point where it will be trouble free. my fathers cummins and box truck, both I-6 diesels one cummins one isuzu have never gone down, other than for one day a piece. id love to have a damn near perfect 6.0. i know id have to do the EGR delete, updated oil cooler, head studs and gaskets. coolant flush, fuel filter and id probably pick up a set of aftermarket injectors and maybe an aftermarket turbo. and a tuner so i can monitor EOT and ECT. what else would i have to do to make this truck bulletproof. and is pulling the cab easier than pulling the engine? i feel like doing all this on a stand is alot easier than pulling the cab. i really want to know about this, because im eventually going to own a 6.0. an f350 or an excursion.

all that stuff is wires, which means there are connectors.

the most DIY unfriendly part of pulling the cab is the A/C and brake lines

The only updated oil cooler that I would recommend would be the one from BulletProof Diesel and is what I run in my truck. The factory cooler is still prone to clogging and the "upgraded" oil cooler with larger coolant passages reduce the risk of clogging, but the heat transfer from oil to coolant is decreased considerably. Look in my signature and you will see all the stuff I have done to improve my reliability and make my truck BULLETPROOF.
