gas guage/programmer

Sorry about posting here but it was a electronic and a programmer question. I was at a gas station today filling up my truck and while i was doing that i figured i would change my tune (sct). I opened the door while it was reading and retuning, Well when I got finished filling up truck it only showed 1/4 of a tank and my truck said 212miles to empty. I returned it to stock and same thing. Would opening up the door or filling up while tuning mess it up? Any fixes that you all could recomend?

IIRC, when you leave the key in the on/acc position while filling up it mess up the fuel gauge. I believe the fix for this was to disconnect the batteries for awhile to clear the memory.

Good to hear!! By the way, according to the SCT instructions, they recommend that you don't have anything on (lights when door is open, radio, ect) while you are programming. Something to do with battery draw can mess up the download if your batteries are weak.
