I've run a 'Gryphon' for quite a while, I'm happy with it.
PHP charges $25 for the upgrade (to flash the device sofware and re-case the programmer in all black), and they load their PHP 'canned' tunes on it. From there, you can pay for the custom tunes you want from them. Some of the nice things about the Gryphon, you can have your FICM programmed or have ECM rolled back using your Gryphon instead of waiting for their remote programmer to come (long waiting line). You just get a hold of Bill at PHP, and they remotely setup your Gryphon to do the reprogramming, then they put it back to holding your tunes afterwards. I had my ECM rolled back remotely, no issue, took about an hour on the phone w/ Bill, who is a fun guy to talk with. PHP can be hard to get a hold of, but I've had best luck using their 'online chat' during their business hours. .. They can only talk to one person at a time by phone, but they can online chat with lots of people simultaneously. good luck, Eric |

php is great... the best thing to do is call them during their normal business hours, listed on the website, you'll get to talk to bill or cody no prob. sometimes it takes a lil while to get thru, keep callin.

Yeah, Bill did a lot of the early development work for EDGE so he knows them very well. If you want to keep the Evolution it is a great idea to have it converted to a Gryphon and get some custom tune from Bill. The FICM tunning and Strategy roll back capability makes it a no brainer.
