Track bar ball joint removal, help!

I've posted this in the suspension section but I figured I'd get more answers if I posted it here too.

I took my old track bar off to install my icon bar and I can't get the ball joint out for anything. I pounded the crap out of it and even put a jack under it and jacked the truck up a little in hopes it would move but it hasn't budged the slightest bit. I tried using a pickle fork but i cant get it to budge enough to get the lip up to use the fork. What did you guys do to remove it??

you need a ball joint press to get it out. cut the threads off the old one so the adapter fits over them, and use the press!

i am curious of this problem as I am going to be installing an adjustable track bar myself sooner than later.

What is the problem, isn't it just two bolts and yank out? Is the bolt stuck in the track bar or something? Sounds like I will need to pull my persuasion hammer out of the cobwebs again.

Please elaborate bit more for I want to learn the tricks before I proceed.

Getting the 10 year old ball joint out from the track bar isn't easy. Mine is still in. Going to cut more of the stud off so I can get a puller on there. I've tried a pneumatic hammer with heat and no luck.

I didn't buy a new track bar. Even if it comes with one you have to get the old one out.
