Towing and EGT temps
Today I towed my 12,000 lb. 5th wheel trailer 150 miles on fairly level roads and was getting EGT temps of 950 - 1050 at 12 - 15 boost doing 60 - 65 mph. The outside temp was 78 degrees. Are these temps normal running stock? I'm going to travel 800 miles this summer pulling the 5th wheel and need to know if towing with EGT's around 1,000 degrees is safe fon an extended period of time.

That sounds about right...with one of our larger enclosed gn's with hot tunes I'll be running 900-1100 all day long..just dont stay above 1250 for extended time and you're good to go!

looks good. I would not consistently sustain temps over 1,200*. But if you need to get on it I would not pass 1,500*.
