Wierd shift 2-3

Yesterday I had got into it about 3/4-7/8 throttle and when it tried to shift to 3 it just about felt like it went into neutral. I let out of it because it hit rev limit. I am running srl+. I have never had any problems with my transmission shifting at all. I do have a small pause when shifting into drive or reverse but never had any issues when going down the road. Anyone have any ideas?

I ordered gogodiesels direct clutch soleniod and a new epc soleniod for the tranny. Has anyone had this problem and do they think that this will help?

Yes it was completly warmed up. And the more I think about it now I think it was when it shifted out of 3rd. It happened so fast and freaked me out so much I think I might have been wrong on the gear at first. I have not been able to recreate the problem so I can not be sure. I also get a small shutter when I go into reverse and give it some pedal from time to time.

Transgo shift kit fixes the shift issues. I plan on getting it over the summer when I have time to work on it.

Will that help my shift out of 3rd? seems like its more for just reverse and at a stop. plus my year shouldnt have the problem with the c clip coming out should it? From what Iv read thats just with 05 and later

Pretty sure that the c-clip was a 2004 issue with the 5R110. Not sure if that's your issue, though.

Mine is a early build 04 I think the problem started in late 04. I may be wrong though.
