NEW POWERSTROKE OWNER NEEDS OPINION.

Just purchased my 2007 F250 4x4 about 4 months ago. 4-1/2" lift 35" tires. i'm looking for a programmer to improve fuel milage and to get rid of some lag off the start. Too many programmers on the market, so looking for some opinions. Also looking for info on auto locking hubs. Running in soft sand, is it better to lock in or can i leave them in auto? What's your opinion?

First off, . Second I have the SCT Livewire custom tuning device, it uses custom tunes that you can get from a couple different distributors but usually from the people you buy it from. It gives great power, and does improve mileage about 2mpg if you can learn to keep your foot off the pedal. Others have said that the Edge products are really good as well as the Bully Dog products, I'd just research them and figure out which one you really like, and if you've got the funds for it, because some are quite expensive.
Good Luck in your decision.

As for locking the hubs I keep mine in auto all the time and I run on the beach every weekend. And truck runs great but I also have 15.5"tires. I do know chevy is notoriuos for there auto hubs to go bad I have pulled many off the beach (BUT NO FORDS) I leave mine in auto and if somthing does go wrong then I will lock them manually.

Can't comment on the programmer or hubs but can on the mileage. Do you have something in your truck that corrected the speedometer? If not, the mileage may not be as bad as you think.
