Cooling system pressure after 13 hours?
Is that normal?
Parked the truck after the trip home from the ranch last night at 8p - which is a normal 30 minute dirve at mostly highway speeds. Normal temps all around. Just finished the el cheapo coolant filter mod (takes 5 minutes!). When cutting the hose from the degas to the radiator, it still had a little pressure in it. Maybe that means the head gaskets are good too ?? !! If they can hold pressure for 13 hours, then they surely can't be leaking.... BTW, The el cheapo coolant filter mod is just temporary until I decide on the filter system I really want. Shawn |

I wouldn't worry a bit. It just means your cooling system is holding pressure well. That's a good thing.

That is what I was hoping.
![]() Really hoping that it was an indirect indicator that the HG were in good shape. I have only had it for 4 months, and the first 137, XXX miles were with the previous/original owner. He kept great records, and there is no mention of the HG. Although, when I got it the EGR was beginning to fail... Shawn |

Yea I would think holding pressure is good because that means it's not leaking into anything it shouldn't be.
