Coolant Filter question

I just recieved my Sinister Coolant Filter kit today and I have a quick question. Prior to installing the filter should I prime it by filling it up with coolant? Thank you for your time.

Its not necessary, as its a bypass filter. But after you install it, and drive it for a while, you'll probably have to top off your degas bottle. Just remember, when the truck is cold, the "MIN" line is the max fill. When your truck is warm, it'll read at the "MIN" line, but the second you twist the cap off the degas bottle, the level will shoot up to "MAX"
