The funny thing is, the "T" showed up on 05's and up.

Looks like in 04 they were listed as "B".

Why? I don't know.

2004 F-250 and 350

2-Five-speed manual

5-Six-speed manual, Dana ZF (S6-650)

7-Six-speed manual, Dana ZF (M6HD-W), diesel

B-Five-speed automatic (5R110W), Hi-Torque, diesel

E-Four-speed automatic (4R100)

2005 F-250 and 350

2-Five-speed manual, Tremac (TR4050)

5-Six-speed manual, Dana (ZF S6-650)

7-Six-speed manual, Dana (ZF M6HD-W), diesel

B-Five-speed automatic (5R110W), Hi-Torque, diesel

T-Five-speed automatic (5R110W)

2006 F-250 and 350

5-6-speed manual, Dana (Z/F S6-650)

7-6-speed manual, Dana (Z/F M6HD-W), diesel

B-5-speed automatic (5R110W), Hi-Torque, diesel

T-5-speed automatic (5R110W)

Could it be they fixed an issue in the 04 tranny, and needed to code the new tranny with the "T"

"The '04 transmissions had a planet retaining pin back out and machine away part of the trans. That was fixed mid-year '04. The early '05 trucks had a problem with a snap ring coming out of it's groove and exiting the transmission through the case. That was fixed mid-year '05."

Going from "T" to "B" could just be for updating/revising the trans... not sure...

I went into my Suncoast paperwork and couldn't find any info on this, the only thing I found different was the forward friction plates had two different designs, but it states that you wont know unless you disassemble.

Start by checking you hub bearings, axle u-joints, driveshaft u-joints, and carrier bearing.
