im looking to buy a new exhaust system and narrowed it down to a MBRP and a silverline both are 4inch turbo backs 409 stainless witch is the better not just price wise but like performance and sound

you shouldn't notice much difference. Note that the mbrp has a 3.5'' down pipe. So the egt's on the mbrp may be a touch higher from that. I belive silverline has a 4'' down pipe so it's a true 4'' system. Have you looked into diamond eye yet? That's what I have and am very happy with it. Plus you get the same exhaust for a little less.

I have the 4" MBRP turbo back with muffler. Easy to install. I didn't fork out the extra cash for the SS though because I have a few buddies with the SS and theirs were pitted and stuff pretty bad so I just went with the aluminized steel or what ever to save some money.

I have the 409 Stainless Steel MBRP. It's 4" all the way - Down pipe to exhaust tip.

I like it and was relatively easy to install.

I went MBRP because of the Warranty. Easy install, hardest part was getting the DP off. Sounds pretty close to stock, except MUCH more turbo whistle.

T409 construction can be counted on to withstand everything from salt to rocks, tar to grime. We have had such success with this line that we back it with a Lifetime Warranty.

I thought there was a thread where someone said that mbrp was 3.5 dp. If I am wrong, I'm sorry.

Like I said, I went with diamond eye and am more than pleased. I will say that a 4'' dp is a little tricky to install. Not too hard just finding the right spot and boom, in it goes. Wouldn't the 304 ss be better than 409 or is it the other way around? either brand, you can't go wrong.

I believe the OBS is 3.5. The SD is 4" DP. And like I said, the 409 has a lifetime warranty, THATS why I went with MBRP.
