I had a engine die situation, towed it to the dealer, HPOP not making enough pressure (125psi cranking) mechanic wasn't sure what was the cause, suspected HPOP I couldn't afford to replace every thing. so I brought it home and tried air testing it. seemed to leek air under the cover with air pressure to ICP opening, couldn't make IPR close. soI took off cover and put air directly to manifold on top of pump,No leaks? to test the pump it self I built this fixture
and cranked the engine, the gauge shot up to 1500 and climbing fast. I stopped for fear of damaging any thing. does any one have any thoughts ? I personally suspect the IPR? any other thoughts about the tests or advise?
