turbo shaft

recentley did a turbo cleaning and noticed exhaust turbine was in pretty rough shape. went on line and bought one on ebay. has anyone ever changed the exhaust turbine and shaft in a VGT turbo?

Can you take a pictue so we can understand more? It is a reverse thread to take it off. Im not sure it is supose to be balanced with the new turbine...

do not have it off the truck anymore. planning on removing it soon though. just kicking tires to see if there is anything special i will need or have to do. working great right now. running great gettin 18 mpg on the highway dont now if this would help of am i going to kick my self for tearing it down again. just lost the whislte i had before sounds more like a blower than a sucker. any help or suggestions would be great. thanks!!!

This writeup is pretty comprehensive on rebuilding the turbo. Although not "specific" to what you are asking, I think it will answer your questions.
