Having some issues with 04 6.0 and could use some guidance and hopefully some scanners so I can find out my problems without paying buttloads to the dealer. Truck is drivable and I can bring it to you.

I am in Ambridge, not too far from you if I can meet you there on a weekend day or if you want to come to my place because i do not know what or how serious my issues are and really don't want to pay a tow bill either for this monster. I'll be willing to pay you if need be for your time. I just did a EGR delete and I'm not a mechanic but I gave it my best shot. I'm still blowing what I think is a lot of white smoke and I feel as if I lost some power, so, I don't know what is wrong. Might be a FICM or injector from what I have been reading, but I don't know.

With EGR delete I am assuming you have an EGR cooler delete? If so, smell the smoke, is it deisel or coolant. If you need head gaskets I can refer you to someone local here.

i'm not too far from you but i have no way of diagnosing anything without the IDS at the shop

I think I found the culprit accually. Oil in the exhaust. Probably the turbo seal. I have not driven it is about 5-6 months cuz of starting issues in winter (which is why I want to scan it for injectors and ficm and such) but i'm hoping that the seal will swell since I'm driving it again. >>>>> Sinner6, how much $ to bring it to your shop?

I dont know if it needs a turbo or not. I hope the seal swells now that Im driving it again (has not ran for 6 months) but the turbo works fne except I think I have a boost leak (cuz of my egr delete and my non mechanical skills)
and the seal leaking more worrired about the boost leak right now (i think) and scanning for codes

hey just done reading your posts, how hard was it to do the egr cooler delete WORD? i would love to do it myself. Any help is appreciated. I live here in philly and there aint no good shops around except for Liberator near Harrisburg.
