cold idle smoke
Hey everyone i think i found why our trucks smoke when their at a cold idle. Well sense i had my heads off doing head gaskets i would figure i'd have my heads checked out. Well ALL of my valve guides are out of spec. So its gettting 32 valve gides and oh ya a valve job, and uhh new valve seals lol. boy is it getting expensive and i'm doing it myself.

How many miles do your heads have? Is the valve geometry on our trucks off?

170,000 soo really not THAT many. Its an early 04. as far as valve geometry i could not tell you
sorry about that. I just thought it was interesting when i found out all my valve guides were bad, and it would make sense why it smokes things get tighter when it warms up
