Dash Removal Problem??

I took the dash out of my 06 F350 today to install a fuel presure gauge. The dash was out 2 or 3 hours while I drilled the hole and ran the wires. While taking the dash out and putting it in I had to put the key in and turn it so I could move the shifter out of the way. Also had the key on while looking for switched power source.

After it was all togeather the truck would not turn over, only clicking sounds and weird things going on in the dash. Sounded like a solinoid not making. Checked batttery, voltage down to 11.5. So she is on the charger for the night.

Could I have screwed someting up by turning on the key while the dash was out of the truck?

I am going to get the batteries load tested tomorrow. If one is bad should they both be replaced?

Thanks
Stew

Chareged both batteries overnight and all is well with the dash ect. Load tested the batteries and found one no good. $250 latter, two new batteries and all is well in my 12V world.
