Question About Programing

It seems a lot on here recommend the SCT X3. I am thinking of getting one. I have a Edge CS. This may be a stupid question. If I get the SCT.I will unplug the Edge install the tune then plug the Edge back in and everything should work fine ?
Thanks for everyone advice.

Yup.

I'll go ahead and give my recommendation of getting your custom tunes from Matt @ www.gearheadautomotiveperformance.com His "SRL" tune is awesome, and a great daily driver.

I like my Looney from Viv at quick tricks. Her customer service is great.

Depends. I did mine for a total of $210. I found a good deal on an old SCT X2 for $100, and then $110 for Gearhead tunes. Couldn't be happier! Otherwise, the standard appears to be ~$400-$500 depending on where you go and what you get.

If you buy a used SCT, make sure the unit is unlocked and has unlocks left. If you purchase the unit locked, you will need to send it to SCT to get it unlocked for a fee.

You don't mail the sct in, you usually will email the strategy to the tuner(shop you choose), and then after payment they email you your tune. You then download the tune into the sct, plug the sct into the truck and upload it. Then you try to wipe the smile off your face
