Question About Programing
It seems a lot on here recommend the SCT X3. I am thinking of getting one. I have a Edge CS. This may be a stupid question. If I get the SCT.I will unplug the Edge install the tune then plug the Edge back in and everything should work fine ?
Thanks for everyone advice. |

Yup.
I'll go ahead and give my recommendation of getting your custom tunes from Matt @ www.gearheadautomotiveperformance.com His "SRL" tune is awesome, and a great daily driver. |

This might be the stupid question. SCT X3 you buy for how much $,then send it in for custom tunes? How much for custom tunes? Thanks

Depends. I did mine for a total of $210. I found a good deal on an old SCT X2 for $100, and then $110 for Gearhead tunes. Couldn't be happier! Otherwise, the standard appears to be ~$400-$500 depending on where you go and what you get.

If you buy a used SCT, make sure the unit is unlocked and has unlocks left. If you purchase the unit locked, you will need to send it to SCT to get it unlocked for a fee.
