Ok I got an edge insight instead of regular guages. Iam still waiting for my egt prob to come in. I was driving it to day and checking out the temps ect stayed around 192-196 but my eot was showing up to 230 and still climbing slowly it was only about a 15 min ride to store and back and its about 95 degrees out today. should I be worried about my oil cooler? I had thought I read somewhere here that if those two temps get at 15 degrees or more diff that there is a problem. Iam not sure what are the target temps. What is running too hot. Please help.

Thats what I was thinking. I just took it for about a 30min drive on hwy, not pulling anything ect was at 192-200, tft was around 162-164 and eot was running 238 - 240. What is the going price for a rebuild?

Rebuild kit is around $200 or so. You can buy new for $500 or less

If I buy new what kind of time would we be talking to replace it? Not me a mechanic.

Book time shows 6.6 hours. I would do an EGR delete while in there. Would do a complete coolant flush too with Restore and Restore Plus and refill with a CAT ELC coolant with an EC-1 rating.

It had a egr delete already on it when I bought the truck. could it be a bad sensor? would that cause something like that. I had it at ford for over a week. they kept driving it trying to get it to fail because It wouldnt start hot for me twice. They were trying to get it to fail to find the hpop leak they thought it had. I was thinking they might would have caught something like this.

I didn't even see that you had the EGR delete in your sig. Your oil cooler is still junk. Replace the cooler and do the flush. The no start hot issue is more than likely an HPOP leak though.
