Can it be done?

Can two capable guys, and dmax guy put my egr delete kit in one night?

The kit is the ebay special, not replacing oil cooler, and I dont want to leave it tore down. If we start around five how long would you expect? Not doing the oil cooler because my temps are right on, egr cooler is fine, but the valve is bad and the delete kit was cheaper than replacing the valve.

It depends, in my kit I had to remove the up pipe and install a straight pipe. The up pipe bolts can be a B&^CH to get at. The intake gaskets are technically reusable, so you could loosen the intake, lift it slightly, and remove the EGR cooler. If the turbo comes off easy (mine did) you could have it out in 30 minutes, the intake, another 45 minutes. The serpentine is a pain to loosen as well. The job, if all goes well, (and no up pipe removal) could be done in an evening, but a few problems and all bets are off.

^ what he said.

I say you guys can do it as long as you focus and have more than 1 person wrenching at a time. I would plan on a possible 2-3am nite if you run into trouble, and obviously make damn sure you have the tools and stuff you need (coolant) before you start.

You won't have to worry about coolant at all. Drain it into a clean bucket from the petc ck on the radiator. Very clean and simple then you pour it back into the degas tank when done. Make sure you spray everything exhaust related with PB blaster a day in advance and things should go smooth on disassembly

If you want to get it done in a single evening keep it to the 2 capable guys and leave the Dmax guy home.
