Trailer Connection Confusion

Hey guys, I feel like there is a simple solution to my problem but I haven't been able to find it on hear yet. My truck is an '05 F-250 with factory trailer brake control, 7 pole round (not rv style) and 4 pin flat connectors at the rear bumper. I bought an enclosed trailer, double axel with electric brakes that has the 7 pole rv style connection. I'd like to use the trailer for work tomorrow, but I'm having trouble finding an adapter. Would switching the trailer side from the rv style to match my truck's 7 pole be my best bet?

Thanks for any help!

I'm confused since I also have the 7-pin round style connector and it works great with my RV. I wasn't aware that there was a different style 7-pin connector. Do you have a picture of the connector?

Sounds to me like someone put a different connector on there. I would either make an adapter or change one of the plugs.

I would just cut the plug off the trailer and put a 7 on it, the RV stlye can get the prongs knocked loose and have problems, plus its an excuse not to let people borrow your trailer
