Crank or clank noise
I used my remote starter today at lunch. As I was walking to my truck it started up just fine and it does it diesl rumble sound and then I heard my jet whistle sound up. Im like ok turbo spooled up, but exactly right after that, I heard a crank crank or like a clank clank sound. I'm thinking it has something to do with the turbo. Any ideas of what that might be? Thanks

Is it fine now? Did someone put a rock in your tail pipe or something? If it is fine now, I doubt somthing major (if a shaft broke or a fin came off you would know). I was driving one once with about 15k on the back. I thought the turbo stoped getting oil cause I had the clank and a screach....found out it was my the fan kicking on.

It's still doing it. I was thinking the turbo bearing was going out.

I got to get one of the owners where I work at and let him listen to it. He thinks the starter not disenagaging and grinding as it's coming out.
