EOT&ECT what else to look for when buying

Hi my son and I both want to buy a 6l 2005 and up. we have about 20 trucks in a 200 mile radius and would like to look at some this weekend. We are going to borrow a mechanics hand held scanner. I know to check the eot & ect while running on the highway. Also I know about the green coolant and checking the degas bottle. Oasis report. What else? What should we do to check the tranny?
These trucks with their cool options, looks, stance and price are awesome,ie KR for $16000 to $18000 sweeeeeeeeeet.
