Alternator Overdrive pulley

Anyone running one? It seems like a good idea, esp for driving short trips and in town...

The smaller pulley will make the alternator spin faster, this will cause premature wear to the alternator bearings.

I put one on my '03 PSD because it didn't charge above 11.9 volts at normal idle.

I piggy backed my factory battery cables with larger cable and it actually raised the voltage a bit. I'm still gonna go with a 140amp alternator tho. I just dont think a smaller pully is a good thing for the alternator.
