taking a 6.0 injector apart

just like the title says.i am wanting to do some experimenting.i have
the top part off and the plunger w/rod attached and spring out.i am trying to figure out how the tip comes off.where the fuel and oil goes in it has a place
to put a wrecnch or some special tool"which i don't have but will buy if i need to"

any and all help would be appreciated and i will keep you guys posted on
what i'm doing.

That thing is hard to break loose. I took and put the injector in a vise and used an impact on the part you are talking about. I tried with a 1/2 ratchet but it would turn in the vise, that's how tight it is. It's a pain to break free but it will break free.

there has to be some one on here that knows how to get them apart w/out
messing them up.IS THIS THE ONLY WAY TO GET THEM LOOSE.

I'm sure there's another way to hold the injector besides a vise. The one i took apart was already bad so i didnt care about scarring it up.

i got it figured out and all i will say at this time is no more 3500 set of
injectors for me....HELL YEAH.

tool for injector take apart

the tool to hold it in a vise may be like the 7.3 tool sold by rosewood diesel. It is two plates that fit in a vice that have a nub that goes in the holes on the side of the injector.
