Fist fuel filter change

Well I've put about 6,000 miles on my truck sice I got it. I've been putting it off too long so I went and got a filter kit.

I have to say it went pretty well. Other then the $49 kit. Which I think is kinda pricy. But new injectors cost 4k so I'm not gonna complain.

How bad do these filters look?

And a short socket also helps a lot.

And how long do you guys run your filters? I've always herd 10,000

My filters looked pretty similar after 9,900 miles. My secondary looked a bit cleaner than yours but it looks to be doing it's job. I paid $43 at the International dealer for mine as well. It's much better than the $100 Ford wants for the same filters.

I got mine at advanced auto parts. What part number is it at international. Or are all of the vt365 filters the same.

Your filters look good. Not much different than my last ones. A little darker on the upper one though.

Same price from dieselfiltersonline dot com. Never get them from the Ford dealer but always get the Motorcraft or Racor. The Racor's are cheaper and they make them for Motorcraft so when you buy the Motorcraft your paying a bunch extra for the Motorcraft box.

So you get a $12 hat for spending 3 times what the filters are worth? Where do I sign up.

Oh yeah, my truck doesn't use any of the oem filters anymore.
