Off the shelf Coolant Filter system Installed today
Here is the system I just installed today. Bought all the parts from various places I.E. NAPA, Fleetguard, local coupling store, and spent about $60-$65 bucks not counting the coolant. Buddy that is jack of all trades fabbed up the bracket and there you have it. No leaks and no issues so far.

How much did it cost you including coolant?

$52 12.99/ Gallon x4
$60-65 bucks for the Filter set up. $35 for VC9. $33 for Restore. $22 for new T-stat. $15 incidentals I.E.distilled water and other small stuff about $225 for the whole flush and replacement with filter set up. I guess total savings ain't much, but the satisfaction of knowing it was done right and I did it will have to be my small reward. |
