VGT Vane Cycle
For you guys out there with the VXCF9 flash that cycles the vanes how often do they cycle? Does anyone know what triggers the command to cycle? I had Matt write me a tune to cycle vanes on my VXCF4 strategy and sure enough he pulled it off but I cant figure out whats triggering a cycle and there is definitely no pattern to it.
Very hands on with my truck just tryin to figure everything out. thanks kyle |

Length of idle time in park triggers it

Mine cycles at stop lights to. Mine seems like it does it all the time. I don't remember it ever not doing it.

my factory VXAP2 strat on my 04 cycles the vanes like VXCF9. Stopped at a light, in park, or rolling slow in reverse with no throttle - vanes are cycling.

how can you tell when it cycles

You can hear it if you listen to your exhaust. You'll hear the turbo hiss/whistle get louder as the turbo cycles.

I have VXAP1 and mine cycles in park during idle. Never heard it when in gear.
