Fan clutch question
The fan clutch on my 2005 truck is faulty. Since I do a lot of towing, it was recommended that I put in a fan clutch used in the Ford snow plow package. My question is what is the difference? I am assuming more airflow, but will it be louder? I was told there might be a slight drop in fuel mileage, is this because it stays on? I don't want to hear the fan clutch running all the time. Thanks!

This might be a little off topic, but is your EGR valve plugged in (electrical connector)?
The reason I ask is, there are some cases with the EGR valve unplugged, it causes the fan clutch not to reach full RPM. |

Not sure. We hooked my rig up to a computer and pulled a steep grade while pulling my 13k trailer. The fan clutch was engaging and disengaging every second (literally, every second).
