new to 6.0

I look at a 2004 excursion with a 6.0 and 177k the price is right its all stock should i get it or try to find a 05 thank you for all your input

Dunno if there is that much of a difference?!?! Get an oasis report on it.. See if it had any problems.... The Ficm's are pretty notorious problems! Something you could fix yourself for about 450.00. The dealer would charge about 1k. Thats the beauty of this site! Every one is here to help! No matter what the problem..

The big difference will be in whether or not it is an early 04 (an 03 build) or the later engine design. There are pros and cons to both. I have an 04, early 03 build, and have it running great right now. It was not without it's issues, nothing that I wouldn't expect from a 7 year old vehical though. Like jjeffrey69 said, see what the oasis says. Where the HG's done recently, any major maintenance, etc. It all depends on the price also. Once you get the bugs worked out you should be all set. I run my truck in stock trim, plus the improvements in my sig, but I do not use any programming on it. Hope this helps you out.
